Each project is a testing field for experimentation. Of particular interest are the operations of patterns. Patterns may be deployed at scales ranging from the particulars of an assembly to the organization of the public realm. While patterns are very flexible, they are at the same time rule based and thus a powerful instrument for organizing control. Patterns may be abstract or physical, providing the framework for the intersection of abstract diagrammatic thinking and the resolution of specific material assemblages.
To serve this idea of patterns, Oisse Architects pursues research and develops techniques in the fields of computation, digital and analog modeling, material science, and digital and analog fabrication.
